Etteilla, the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette, was a French occultist famous for being the first to popularise Tarot Divination to a wide audience, subsequently becoming the first tarot reader known to history to make his living by card divination. A legendary Cartomant in his own right, Etteilla also brought forth a number of famed tarot decks of his own conception. 

This deck is printed directly from an antique Etteilla tarot deck, and represents his lifelong work in divination.
